Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 1825 W 12th St
in Cedar Falls, Iowa, has a rich history of serving the Cedar Valley. Established in 1865 by Henry Dahl, our first funeral home was located on Main Street in downtown Cedar Falls. In 1936, the funeral home moved to 703 Washington Street, near the present-day First United Methodist Church. In 1968, Sylvester Van Hove and Merwin Schoof purchased the business from the Dahl family and relocated to our current location at 1825 W. 12th Street in 1972.
Our facility includes a spacious chapel with seating for 150, along with additional rooms for visitations, arrangements, and services. Families can also enjoy the use of our family lounge for gatherings or refreshments. With a large parking lot and elevator access to family areas, we provide comfort and accessibility for all.
