Reception Area - Reflection Room

The act of sharing a meal after a funeral transcends mere tradition; it serves a profound purpose in the grieving process. Food provides comfort, sustenance, and a sense of normalcy in a time of loss. The communal aspect of these meals helps to build a support system, reaffirm connections, and offer solace. The Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is honored to provide a warm and comfortable setting where families can offer a reception, our Reflection Room.


Our Reflection Room provides a comfortable, private space for families and their guests to gather following a service. Whether you are sharing a meal, enjoying a cup of coffee, or simply visiting with those who came to pay their respects, the Reflection Room offers a welcoming place to continue remembering and celebrating a life together.


Reflection Room Rental - $395

Rental includes up to 2 hours of use and:

  • Set-up, tear-down, and cleanup service
  • Coffee, water, and lemonade
  • Paper plates, cups, napkins, and utensils
  • Funeral Home Staff to supervise and serve
  • TV for photo tribute
  • Special music
  • FOOD NOT INCLUDED


Families are welcome to provide their own food and beverages or arrange for catering. Please ask your funeral director for options and assistance.
