Reflection Reception Room
The act of sharing a meal after a funeral transcends mere tradition; it serves a profound purpose in the grieving process. Food provides comfort, sustenance, and a sense of normalcy in a time of loss. The communal aspect of these meals helps to build a support system, reaffirm connections, and offer solace.
Families do not gather as much in this busy age as in the past. Weddings and Funerals have become the modern version of a Family Reunion. Many organizations no longer have the volunteer base they once did to prepare luncheons following Funerals and have found it necessary to cater a meal all or in part. Simultaneously, family are increasingly looking for a facility to host a service for their loved one and enjoy the opportunity to provide a meal for family and/or friends following a funeral, memorial service or celebration of life. We have made some big changes at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in order to meet those changing needs.
We offer a catering menu of hot and cold meal options ranging in price from $11.99-$24.49* per meal ordered which includes use of the Reflection Room, table service and water and coffee. In addition, we offer canned and bottled non-alcoholic beverages for sale to your guests who desire something beyond the water and coffee options. You can also rent the room for $250 for two hours if you wish to provide your own food, beverages, place settings, servers and clean up.
