Prudence D. Naber, 91, of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.
Prudence was born on February 27, 1935, in Wolf Point, Montana, the daughter of Benjamin and Lillian (Hubbard) Naber. Her family relocated to Iowa where she graduated from St. Ansgar High School. She worked in banking for several years prior to becoming a successful real estate agent in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. In 2005, Prudence married the love of her life, Don Allender.
Prudence loved the Lord. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior during a Bible conference at a young age and carried a strong faith throughout her life. Prudence also loved to cook and host parties to entertain friends and family.
Prudence is survived by her sister, Joyce (George) Burnett of Oregon, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Allender; and siblings, Dolores Garbes and Sylvan Naber.
A private burial was held at Fairview Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Memorial contributions in Prudence’s memory may be directed to Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny.
