On February 2, 1946 he and Marge were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.  They lived a short time after their marriage in a house on Grand Blvd and then moved into a house that was on the land next to his parent's home in Cedar Heights.  This was his only home for the rest of his life.

Lynn and Marge raised two children in this home.  Claudia, born in 1947 and Richard, born in 1950.

Lynn started working in transportation sales after he returned from the Navy.  He worked for the WCF&N railroad until 1955 and then starting working for area trucking companies, Cordle Cartage, Takin Bros., Arrow Motor Freight, Kroblin Transportation and Elliott Brothers.  He was active in the local Transportation Club, holding various offices.
