Welcome to our website! We are a family owned and operated funeral home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. We have a spacious facility that has a very comfortable atmosphere. We have four licensed funeral directors on staff that will help with any questions that you have.

History
Our funeral home was established in 1865 by Henry Dahl, and was located on Main St. in downtown Cedar Falls. In May of 1936 it was relocated to 703 Washington St., near present day First United Methodist Church. In 1968, Sylvester Van Hove and Merwin Schoof purchased the funeral home from the Dahl family, and in 1972 moved it to its present location at 1825 W. 12th St.


Facility
Our spacious facility includes a chapel, with a seating capacity for as many as 250 people, two comfortable visitation rooms, a large foyer, as well as a lounge for family and friends to relax and have refreshments.

Associations

Members of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Iowa Funeral Directors Association.
