Laurel J. Elliott, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, September 4 , 2022, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.  She was born January 17 , 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Donald and Irene (Hinz) Eastburn.  Laurel married James "Jim" Elliott on May 28 , 1949 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  She was a graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and worked as a secretary, and then as a cashier at Eagle's Grocery Store for 22 years, retiring in 1983.  Laurel was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Iowa Chapter I, was a prolific quilter and an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Elliott, of Cedar Falls; her three sons, James (Janet) Elliott of Arizona, Steve (Lisa Waterbury) Elliott of Kansas City, Missouri and Kevin Elliott of Monfort, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and her brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Ballmann, of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin.

Laurel was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Eastburn, and a sister, Donna Ballmann.

Services will be 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 17 , 2022, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with private burial in Hillside Cemetery, Cedar Falls, at a later date.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials go to MercyOne Waterloo Foundation in Laurel's name.
