Glennis Formwalt, 71, of Janesville, died of pancreatic cancer on

, 1947 in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of Odis & Evelyn (Lee) Paulson. She graduated from De Smet High School in De Smet, South Dakota in 1965 and from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1968. She married C. William "Bill" Formwalt on
July 5
, 1969. She was a deaf educator, homemaker and artisan. Glennis was a member of 4-H and the Good Neighbor Club. She volunteered as leader of Tri-Rivers Trendsetters 4-H Club, Bosnian Refugee Settlement Volunteer Coordinator, MOPS Mentor, Nazareth Lutheran Kits 'n' Quilts and the Hurricane Katrina Mission Team. Her interests included sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, grand mothering, and sharing the Love of Jesus.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Formwalt of rural Janesville; three sons, Lance (Julie) Formwalt of Shawnee, Kansas, Byron (Mylene) Formwalt of Surprise, Arizona and Bryce (Lisa) Formwalt of Georgetown, Texas; six grandchildren, Megan and Luke Formwalt of Shawnee, Kansas, Garrett Formwalt of Hackleburg, Alabama, Michael Formwalt of Surprise, Arizona, Cole and Simeon Formwalt of Georgetown, Texas; her mother, Evelyn "Evie" Paulson of Apple Valley, Minnesota; two sisters, Karen Paulson of Apple Valley, Minnesota and Lynette Cross of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Glennis was preceded in death by her father, Odis Paulson.
Services will be 11:00 a.m.
Monday, April 1
, 2019 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 30
, 2019 in Bethel Hall at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with a 7:00 p.m. Community Prayer Service where friends and relatives will be invited to share remembrances. Visitation also one hour prior to service time on
