Cynthia Marie Bandfield

Cynthia "Cindy" Marie Bandfield, 61, of Dinsdale, passed away on January 5, 2023, at UnityPoint Health/Allen Hospital.  She was born August 16, 1961, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Charlie and Mary (Stripe) Mathes.  Cindy attended Cedar Falls High School.  On August 14, 1981, she was united in marriage to Bill Bandfield in Waterloo.  Cindy was a Clerk and Customer Service Expert at NuCara Pharmacy in Traer for 30 years.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carrie Ann Bandfield; and half-brothers, Charles and Clyde Mathes.  She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill; children, Christina (Dan) Weidemann of Dubuque, Michael (Jessica) Bandfield of Cambridge, Minnesota and Dawn (Bill) Richard of Atkins; grandchildren: Julia, Morgan, Marcus, Dellanie, Audrey and another grandbaby on the way; siblings: Mike (RoseAnn) Neith of Ankeny, Steve (Deysi) Neith of Waterloo, Mary Ann (Fuzzy) Liddell of Cedar Falls and Sue Albert of Waterloo.

Cindy's Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with Visitation the evening prior from 4-7:00 pm both at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.  Burial will follow the Funeral at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens also in Cedar Falls.  Condolences can be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com and Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.

Cindy was a firm believer that it didn't matter where you were or what you were doing, it was making memories that mattered.  She played pinochle games with her mom and sisters (brother, Steve, substituted once mom passed away).  Cindy learned to canoe and kayak and enjoyed fishing with Bill and swinging on her front porch.  She was a caretaker and put everyone else's needs ahead of her own.  Cindy cherished spending time with her grandchildren and always had "surprises" for them when they visited.  It's not "goodbye", it's "see 'ya later".
