Arlene Anderson

Arlene Anderson, 85, of Cedar Falls, went to her eternal home on Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was born February 25, 1931 near Cummings, North Dakota, the daughter of Harold and Esther Ross. Arlene married Larry Anderson on September 8, 1956 in Hillsboro, North Dakota. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in Fargo, North Dakota and attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She was a devoted wife of 60 years, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, but her first love was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to be with her family and friends, had an infectious laugh, a servant's heart and a gift of hospitality.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Larry Anderson, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Craig (Sue) Anderson of Cedar Falls and Scott (Karna) Anderson of New Brighton, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Lindsey (Zach) Holsman, Heidi Anderson, Jordan Anderson and Natalie (Kyle) Terhark; two great grandchildren, Adelyn and Vivian Holsman, and two sisters, Delores Borsheim of Fargo, North Dakota and LaDonna (Mel) Gemmill of Billings, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Laverne Ross and two sisters, Verna Johnson and Eleanor Ross.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Western Home Communities Nation Cottage and the church.
