Yvonne Rector

Yvonne B. Rector, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, January 23, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born January 23, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Yvonne married Joseph DeMartino in 1955, and they later divorced. She married James Rector on August 12, 1978 in Waterloo. Yvonne was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bartels Retirement Community in Waverly. Survivors include her husband, Jim Rector, of Cedar Falls; a son, Jeffrey DeMartino, of Waterloo; three daughters, Vikki (Dana) Cooke, Gina DeMartino, and Angie Kettman, all of Cedar Falls; two stepsons, Jay Rector of Denver, Colorado and Scott (Candy) Rector of Webster City, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Nita (Dan) Davie of Grundy Center, Iowa and Amy Morland of Los Angeles, California; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Margaret Morrison. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church, with burial at Washington Chapel Cemetery, both in rural Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 35:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church or Alzheimer's Research.
