WILLIAM "BILL" F.
WREDE, 75, of Hudson, Iowa, died at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa on Sunday, April 18, 2004. He was born September 12, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Edna (Wohlsdorf) Wrede. He married Florence Ann Gutknecht October 30, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hudson. He worked for Mead Container (Weyerhaeuser Company) Waterloo, Iowa for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He then worked for Land O' Lakes in Hudson, retiring in 1990.
Bill is survived by his wife, Florence of Hudson, Iowa; two sons, Steve (Gretchen) Wrede of Denver, CO. and Ross (Renee) Wrede of Beaverton, Ore.; one grandson, Philip Wrede of Denver, CO.; two brothers, Jacque (Shirley) Wrede of Coarsegold, CA. and Robert (Darlys) Wrede of Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, LaDonna Patterson of Waterloo, Iowa and Doris (Earl) Shepard of Waterloo, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hudson, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials can be made to Cedar Valley Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church.
