William "Bill" Troy Irvin Jr.

William "Bill" Troy Irvin passed away on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 with his family by his side.

Bill was born on March 1st, 1963 in Indianola, MS to William Sr and the late Lydia (Price) Irvin. Bill graduated in 1981 from Humphreys Academy in Belzoni, MS.  Bill married Deborah Simcox and they later divorced.

Bill loved spending time with family and friends. He could often be found sitting in his driveway with his dog Abby enjoying conversation with his beloved Abraham Dr neighbors. He played pool for many years and was known to many as "Mississippi" or "Wild Bill" and in his younger years, he definitely lived up to that name.  Bill adored his grandchildren and would find every opportunity to visit them.

\Bill worked as a carpenter and was employed at Magee Construction, Koch Construction and Fager Framing. He then went out on his own and enjoyed being his own boss. In March of 2023, Bill obtained his CDL and was looking forward to working a job that wouldn't be as taxing on his body.

Bill is survived by his wife Becky with whom he would have celebrated 23 years together at the end of October, his sons Troy (Kelsey) Irvin of New Hartford, Riley Gardner of Marion, Thomas "Tommy" Irvin of rural Cedar Falls and Reese Gardner of Cedar Falls. His grandbabies, Jax, Jensen and Maribelle. His father William Sr (Nancy) Irvin, his sister Pam (Larry), and step-father Henry Causey all of Reed Springs, MO along with many extended family and friends who loved him so much.

Bill's service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 -8:00 pm on Thursday, October 12th at the funeral home and resuming at 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service. Memorials to the family.
