William E. McKinley, 55, of Wister, Oklahoma, formerly of Cedar Falls, died at his home Thursday, February 2, 2012, in Wister, Oklahoma. He was born October 13, 1956 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of William C. and Marjorie L. (Burke) McKinley, Jr. Bill graduated from Northern University High School in 1975 and attended the University of Northern Iowa, and graduated from Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a degree in Communications. He married Jayne Parsons on July 3, 1993 in Deadwood, South Dakota. He worked for radio station KSDZ in Gordon, Nebraska and later was employed with Cunningham Construction in Cedar Falls. Bill was an avid sports fan and a strong supporter of the Panthers and Hawkeyes. He is survived by his wife, Jayne McKinley, of Wister, Oklahoma; a daughter, Jenna (Heather) McKinley, of Waterloo; his mother, Marge McKinley, of Cedar Falls; two step daughters, Krista (Josh) Lloyd of Summerfield, Oklahoma, and their children, Taylor, Matthew and Tracker Lloyd, and Kimberlee Ward of Red Oak, Oklahoma, and her children Bryar and Bronc Ward; his mother-in-law, Shirley Parsons, of Fairview, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law, Micky (Jolisa) Parsons, of Inola, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Douget, of Houston, Texas, and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Cedar Falls United Church of Christ. There will be no visitation.
