WILLIAM L. "BILL" MAY was born July 24, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ellis Elvin and Blanche Lucille (Wolf) May. He married Linda Henriksen on May 13, 1967 in Waterloo, Iowa. Bill served with the U.S. Navy and had worked at Viking Pump Company in Cedar Falls, Iowa until his retirement due to health reasons. He died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, at 55 years of age.
Bill is survived by his wife Linda, his son Mark and his daughter, Connie Justice, all of Cedar Falls; his granddaughter, Dakota Justice; two brothers, Kenneth of Capitan, New Mexico and Charles E. May of Waterloo; seven sisters, Marian Woolsey of Crawford, Colorado, Marcella Tomei of La Porte, California, Ida Reding of Harrison, Arkansas, Viola Gray of Bangor, Iowa, Virginia Zwiers of North Judson, Indiana, Ethel Perdew of Shenandoah, Iowa and Arlene Young of Washington, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at the funeral home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
