William K. Harder

William K. "Bill" Harder, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born July 22, 1929 in Dysart, Iowa, the son of Ray K. and Ruby (Kroeger) Harder. Bill married Alice Wyatt on October 7, 1949 at the Cedar Falls Woman's Club House. He was a graduate of Dike High School, and farmed and owned his own trucking company for many years. Bill was a member of EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). Survivors include his wife, Alice Harder, of Cedar Falls; a son, Ross (Vicky) Harder, of Hudson; a granddaughter, Heather (Gabe) Wyckoff, of Cedar Falls; two great grandchildren, Brady & Nathan Wyckoff of Cedar Falls; a brother, Wendell "Wendy" Harder, of Evansdale, and two sisters, Darlene Durns of Waterloo and Dolores Wulf of Cedar Falls. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, April Harder, and a brother, Robert "Bob" Harder. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Hudson Community Church, with inurnment at Hudson Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the church.
