WAYNE H. WILSON was born April 22, 1919 in Thayer, Missouri the son of Clarence and Carrie (Caldwell) Wilson. He married Freda Trueg on July 26, 1940 in Waverly, Iowa. Wayne was the former owner of the Regent Café in Cedar Falls. He retired as Food Service Manager for Bishop's Cafeterias. Wayne died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center at the age of 82 years.
Survivors include his wife, Freda of Cedar Falls, one son, James L. Wilson of San Diego, California, one daughter, Sandra K. Wilson of Cedar Falls, 22 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one sister, Vivian Campbell of San Francisco, California. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Connie Leah Camarata, and one sister, Peggy Ann Hurd.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2002 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church.
