Warren F. Thomas, 84, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died of natural causes Sunday, October 21, 2007, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. Warren was born January 21, 1923 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Hugh & Iva (Ochs) Thomas. He married Helen Maas on November 28, 1947 and they were later divorced. Warren married Doris E. Horn on November 14, 1981 in Cedar Falls. He was a graduate of Marengo High School and served with the U.S. Army during WW II. Warren was a farmhand and delivered milk for twenty-six years at Borden's, Daisy Dairy and Anderson-Erickson, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Doris E. Horn, of Cedar Falls; two sons, John (Eser Tolunay) Thomas of Potomac, Maryland and Daniel Thomas of Wyoming, Michigan; three daughters, Ruth Bennett of Auburn, Georgia, Carol (Jeff) Potter of Cartersville, Georgia, and Donna (Larry) Camarata of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Orville Thomas, of Marion, Iowa; two sisters, Velma (Ralph) Williams of Bakersfield, California and Ethel (Russ) Weibold of Westminster, Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Esther Thomas of Anamosa, Iowa and Dee Thomas of Acton, California, and a brother-in-law, Arnold Smith, of Placerville, California.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son, John Horn, and step-daughter, Fyrne Tucker; three brothers, Kenneth, Russell and Byron Thomas, and three sisters, Dorothy Hunzelman, Mildred Kinzenbaw and Treva Smith.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday, October 26, 2007, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be 5—8:00 pm Thursday, October 25, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
