Wanda J Snyder

WANDA J. SNYDER, 67, of Dumont and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, in Weslaco, Texas from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born January 4, 1933 in Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Wilford and Mae (Mast) Bienfang. Wanda married Robert G. "Bob" Snyder on July 20, 1957 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a graduate of Orange Township High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). Wanda worked as a Nurse's Aide for twenty years at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, retiring in 1997.

She is survived by her four sons, Kevin Snyder and his wife Jeannie of Bristow, Iowa, Curt Snyder and his wife Debbie of Spencer, Iowa, Darol Snyder and his wife Lynn of Calamus, Iowa and Matt Snyder of Keota, Iowa; her two daughters, Kathie Austin and her husband Chris of Lenexa, Kansas and Joyce Snyder and her friend Mark Hartman of Overland Park, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Eric, Cory, Miranda and Darci Snyder; six brothers, George Bienfang of Minnesota, Harold Bienfang of Jesup, Iowa, Kenneth Bienfang of Washburn, Iowa, Wilbur Bienfang of Texas, Elvern Bienfang of Robbinsdale, Minnesota and Arlon Bienfang of Waterloo, Iowa; and a sister, Evelyn Gray of Independence, Iowa.  Wanda was preceded in death by her husband and parents, and a sister, Marcella Bienfang.

Services were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 200, at  First Reformed Church, Bristow, Iowa, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center at 1:30 p.m.   Memorials may be given to the American Red Cross or Cedar Valley Hospice.
