WALTER
KABELE, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 2, 2005, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. He was born May 6, 1915, at Platteville, Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Mary (Wolf) Kabele. He married Lela M. Jones, June 6, 1942 at Beloit, Wisconsin. He was an engineer, retiring in 1981 from Construction Machinery Co.
Walter is survived by his wife, Lela of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two sons, Richard (Berni) Kabele of Lake Delhi, Iowa and Dennis (Anita) Kabele of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three daughters, Mary (Terry) Juergens of Eldora, Iowa, Ruth (Glenn) Monson of Austin, Minnesota and Christine (Dan) Kallman of Northfield, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren, Dan (Beth) Kabele, Kristine Kabele, David (Stephanie) Kabele, Stacy Kabele, Clint (Megen) Kabele, Betsy (Justin) Winga, Matt (Andrea) Juergens, Alex (Angie) Juergens., Jenni Juergens, Abby Monson, Catherine Monson, Brittany and Laurel Kallman and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Raymond, Donald, Dale and Leonard.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders, The Western Home Communities or the church.
