WALLACE DALE FESSLER, 76, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Iowa Falls and Tucson, Arizona died of natural causes Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at his home. He was born March 23, 1926 in Iowa Falls, Iowa the son of Arnold and Minnie (Geiken) Fessler. He served in the U. S. Army and was later employed as a machinist at John Deere & Company in Waterloo retiring September 30, 1987 after 28 years of employment. He married Marjorie Johnson in 1948 and they were later divorced. He married Delores Brown and they were later divorced.
Survivors include his daughter, Trudy Weichers and her husband, Dennis, of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Brett and Brad Weichers of Cedar Falls and Brandi Bell of Des Moines; three great grandchildren, Jordan & Jakob Weichers and Hunter Bell; and his sister-in-law, Emma Fessler of Ackley, Iowa. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Fessler, and one nephew, Jerry Fessler.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Dahl Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
