Wade Donald Moothart

Wade Donald Moothart, 47, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1977, in Cedar Falls, the son of Brian Moothart and Brenda (Blanchard) Santee and grew up in Cedar Falls.

Wade married Tammi and, though later divorced, raised 4 children together. He earned his GED from Hawkeye Community College and worked as a laborer for Waterloo Warehousing. A proud member of the Local 838 UAW, Wade also enjoyed camaraderie and competition as part of the Slippery Pickle Bar & Restaurant pool team.

Wade's true joy in life came from spending time with his four children and two faithful dogs, Maisie and Blu. He had a deep love for classic cars, proudly showing off his 1965 Dodge Custom 880. Wade also found joy in playing pool with friends. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Wade is survived by his four children, Tucker, Mykel, Holly and Stormie Moothart; his parents, Brian Moothart and Brenda (David) Santee; brother, Chad (Jessica) Moothart; and aunt, Monica Siebrands, who he considered his second mom; and many other close extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Virginia Moothart and Darald and Wanelda Blanchard; and his aunt, Vickie Anderson.
