Vivian L. Rockey, 83, of Cedar Falls, formerly of West Chester, Pennsylvania, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at the Western Home Elizabeth Martin Center. She was born May 27, 1928 in Lynn, Massachusetts, the daughter of Wesley and Violet (Ward) Lynds. Vivian married John Paul Rockey on November 1, 1952, at Lynn, Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston University with a BS degree. Survivors include her husband, John Paul Rockey, of Cedar Falls; a son, Philip (Joanne) Rockey, of Hartford, Connecticut; two daughters, Lois J. Rockey of West Chester, Pennsylvania and Sue (Tom) Stickfort, of Cedar Falls; a daughter-in-law, Patty (Paul) Tornaquindici, of Portland, Connecticut; ten grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Beth and Andrew Rockey, Heather (Joe) Brandt, Sarah and Rebekah Stickfort, Stephanie, Eric and Amy Tornaquindici, and three great grandchildren, Mia Joy, Owen Joseph and Dylan Jeremiah Brandt. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stephen Rockey; a great grandson, Evan Brandt, and a brother, Arthur Lynds. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall, with services and burial in Ardmore, Pennsylvania next week. Visitation will be 47:00 pm Wednesday, January 25, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the Gospel Hall.
