Virginia L. Tullis, 86, of Rockton, Illinois, formerly of Cedar Falls, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, November 29, 2007, at Provena Cor Mariae Center in Rockford, Illinois. She was born September 18, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Ira Howard and Mina LaVonne (Kelley) Chamberlin. Virginia married Max L. Tullis on February 21, 1941 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1991. Virginia was a bank teller at Waterloo Savings Bank for several years, a secretary at Chamberlain Trailers for many years, and was an employee of the Cedar Falls Board of Education, retiring in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Thode of Cedar Falls and Mary (Dean) Willms of Rockton, Illinois, five grandchildren, Dan Thode, Wendy White, Kimberly Peterson, Kelly Lynde and Michael Willms, and seven great grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Howard Chamberlin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, December 3, 2007, at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, with interment at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4—7:00 pm Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Paralyzed Veterans of America or Provena Cor Mariae Center in Rockford.
