Virginia "Ginny" Jean Davis, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She was born June 9, 1944 in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Lester & Crystal (Stone) Mattke. Ginny married Daryl Davis September 5, 1964 in Fredericksburg, Iowa . She attended Fredericksburg Community schools and the American Institute of Commerce in Davenport. Ginny was a Bank Teller, Secretary and Receptionist retiring in 2009. Her memberships include T.T.T., Altrusa, and Nazareth Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband, Daryl of Cedar Falls; her son, Andrew (Nicole) Davis of Davenport; her daughter, Cheryl (Jay) Smith of Johnston, Iowa; five grandchildren and one brother, Allan (Wilma) Mattke of Sumner, Iowa.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Keith Mattke.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with inurnment at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.themmrf.org). Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
