Violet "Vi" Irene Franks,78, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.She was born December 25, 1929 in Fayette County, Iowa, the daughter of William & Ruzilla (Denny) Morse. She married John Franks October 26, 1946 in Fayette, Iowa. They lived in Fayette and Oelwein before moving to Cedar Falls in 1960. Mrs. Franks worked at Sartori Memorial Hospital and later at River Hills School. She was a member of Cedar Falls Church of Christ.
Survived by: her husband, John of Cedar Falls; two sons, Eddie of Woodward, Iowa and Mark of Cedar Falls; son-in-law, John Wild of Waverly, Iowa; three grandchildren, Tony Wild, Cameron Franks and Jodie Franks; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Esther Morse of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Virginia Wild; five brothers, Horace, Kenneth, Vivian, Lorenzo and Wesley; and three sisters, Hilda, Roxanna, and Maxine.

Services: private family graveside services will be held in Oelwein.

Memorials: may be directed to the Northeast Iowa Christian Service Camp, Bristow, Iowa, through the Cedar Falls Church of Christ, 2727 W. 4th Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.
