Vicki L. Yokem, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo. She was born November 17, 1948 in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle C. and Ida Mae (Maxfield) Cue . Vicki married Roy Fitzhugh and they were later divorced. She married Jesse W. Yokem July 2, 1988. Before retirement she worked for Midwest Provision at Tyson.
Her greatest loves and accomplishments were her marriage to Jesse, her kids, and loving her grandchildren and being involved in their daily lives. The Oakland Raiders were a close second. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, and strong work ethic.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Yokem, of Cedar Falls one son, Jeff (Renee) Fitzhugh, of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Kristi (Wade) Christensen, of Brandon, South Dakota; five grandchildren, Brendan Fitzhugh, Jordyn, Abby, Carter, and Steeven Christensen; two brothers, Jim (Kim) Cue and Doug Cue, both of Independence, Iowa, and two sisters, Dawn Johnson, of Fairbank, Iowa and Pam (Tom) Searcy, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
