VERNA HAHN
HOLDER was born September 21, 1908 at Fairmont, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Minnie (Johnson) Jennings. She married Herman Hahn in 1927 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He preceded her in death in 1964. Verna married William Holder in 1968 at Cedar Falls, Iowa. William preceded her in death in 1998. Verna was the owner of Bi-Low Grocery Store in North Cedar for 25 years. She died Saturday, June 3, 2000 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, at 91 years of age.
Verna is survived by her two step-sons, Kenneth Hahn of Concord, Alabama and John Hahn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and her parents; four step-sons, Robert, Weldon, Milton and Charles Hahn; a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Faith Wesleyan Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the church.
