Vera L Holm

Vera L. Holm, 87, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home died Monday, August 14, 2006 at Sartori Memorial Hospital. Vera was born July 31, 1919 in Cedar Falls the daughter of Marius & Rosetta (Krumlinde) Hansen. She married Gilbert E. Holm March 11, 1939 in rural Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death April 30, 1978. Vera graduated from Northern University High School in Cedar Falls and later was a waitress at Full O' Life Foods for 20 years in Burbank, California.

Survivors include her son, Doyle (Tania) Holm of Penn Valley, California; her daughter, Joanne (Raynal) Hammelton also of Penn Valley, California; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard (Iris) Hansen of Janesville, Iowa and Donald (Joell) Hansen of Cedar Falls; and two sisters, Elva Thuesen of Cedar Falls and Arlene Goos of Gladbrook, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Good Shepherd Chapel at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home with inurnment at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, California. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Home Chapel Endowment Fund or Fredsville Lutheran Church.
