86, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Monday, September 19 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. Velma was born October 10, 1919 at New Hartford, Iowa the daughter of Olie and Clara (North) Klodt. She married Earl G. Bickner October 16, 1937 at Waverly, Iowa. He preceded her in death October 5, 1982. Velma worked in the laundry department for the Cedar Falls school system for 25 years. She died Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, Iowa, at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara (Duane) Whitney of Denver, Iowa and one son James (Judy) Bickner; four grandsons, Robert Whitney, Jimmie Bickner, John Bickner and Joe Bickner; two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, one son, Ray Bickner, two brothers Jim and George Klodt.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel in Cedar Falls. Iowa with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in New Hartford, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
