Trevor Daren Gerholdt

Trevor Daren Gerholdt, 22, of Cedar Falls, died accidentally on Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Plainfield, Iowa.  He was born September 5, 1996 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Dennis and Karen (Leggett) Gerholdt.  Trevor was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and worked at The Other Place (OP) on University Ave in Cedar Falls and most recently, Padget Technologies Inc. in Cedar Falls.  Trevor loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and trapshooting.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Karen Gerholdt, of Cedar Falls; his sister, Whitney (Ryan) Gerst, of Waverly, Iowa and his brother, Dana Gerholdt, of Shell Rock, Iowa; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Patty Leggett, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two nieces, Sofia and Eliana Gerst, and two nephews, Ryley and Finley Gerst, all of Waverly; his uncle, Barry Leggett, of Los Angeles, California, and his emotional support dog, Sweep.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018, at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls, with private burial at Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 4—7:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family, who will allocate the funds to Retrieving Freedom, Inc, Waverly, Iowa, www.retrievingfreedom.org. and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), www.nami.org.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
