Travis W Harting

Travis W. Harting, 32, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born August 5, 1976 in Cedar Falls, the son of Don W. and Kay (Gerloff) Harting. Travis was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School, where he played on the football and baseball teams. He also played hockey with the Waterloo Warriors. Travis was a finish carpenter at Harting & Hunemuller Contractors for nearly twenty years, and was a Pee Wee Hockey coach and played on the local Cobras softball team.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Kay Harting, of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Tony and Taylor Harting, both of Cedar Falls; maternal grandmother, Arvilla Gerloff, of New Hartford, Iowa, and his girlfriend, Ann Baker, of Cedar Falls.

Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Gerloff, and his paternal grandparents, Don C. and Marilyn Harting.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a time of sharing starting at 7 p.m. Public graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery.
