Timothy G Shields

Timothy Gene Shields, 46, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Illinois, from injuries received in a workplace accident.  Tim was born April 3, 1964 in Cedar Falls, the son of Eugene & Mary (Heinen) Shields.  He was employed by Tradesmen.

Survivors include his daughter, Amber Shields and his son, Zach Shields, his parents, Eugene & Mary Shields, all of Cedar Falls; his sister, Theresa (Gary) Randall, of Rogers, Arkansas; his brother, Mark Shields, of Cedar Falls, two nieces, one great niece and one great nephew.

Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Gene William Shields.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010, at First Christian Church, with inurnment at Washington Chapel Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
