Thomas Thode

Thomas W. Thode, 47, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at his home in Cedar Falls. He was born February 8, 1967, in Cedar Falls, the son of William R. "Bill" and Pat (Katz) Thode. Thomas was a 1985 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa and North Iowa Area Community College. Thomas is survived by his mother, Pat Thode, of Cedar Falls; a brother David (Emily) Thode, and three nieces, Erin, Jane and Annie Thode, all of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his father. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 27, 2014, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo. Thomas was a kind and gentle spirit, and a huge Washington Redskins and Chicago Cubs fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and his cat, "Boo".
