Therese P. Roy

Therese (Terry) P. Roy, 74 of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, December 24, 2011, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Center. She was born February 11, 1937 in Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Treffle and Alice (Jutras) Daneault. She married Norbert R. Roy on August 30, 1954 in Manchester, New Hampshire. Terry graduated from St. Louis School of Nursing, Berlin, New Hampshire and was a nurse for fifteen years, and a bookkeeper for twenty-four years with Iowa Diesel Injection Service, New Hartford. She is survived by her husband, Norbert R. Roy, of Cedar Falls; one son, Clifford Roy, of Cedar Falls and one daughter, Elaine (Greg) Stieneke, of Cherokee, Iowa, and three grandchildren, Paige, Adam, and Matthew Stieneke. Terry was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Armand, Lionel, and Maurice Daneault, and six sisters, Helen Chandonette, Beatrice Grimard, Violette Pouliot, Irene Beaudin, Cecile Boucher, and Annette LaRochell. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
