Terry D. Stukenberg

Terry Dee Stukenberg, 86, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters at the Western Home Community's Creekside Legacy Cottage in Grundy Center.

Terry was born January 27, 1937 in Aplington, Iowa to the late Fred and Lois (Elliott) Stukenberg. He was raised on the family farm alongside his four siblings; Wanda, Denny, Colleen & Judy. Terry graduated from Teacher's College High School in Cedar Falls, where he met the love of his life, Margaret Lorraine Korver. The high school sweethearts married on March 22, 1957. Together Terry and Margaret farmed west of Cedar Falls for over 60 years, raising corn, soybeans, cattle, and pigs. They celebrated 66 years of love & marriage on March 22nd, 2023.

Terry is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Carmen (Gordon) Buss of Ridgeway, IA, and Abby (Dan) Aastrup of Latimer, IA; grandsons, Noah Buss of Waterloo, Jacob Buss of Loveland, CO, and Sam (Micaiah) Cain of Alexander, IA; great-grandson, Eli Cain; sister, Wanda Wallace of Carol Stream, IL; and many nieces and nephews, all dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Colleen Shader and Judy Rizer; and brother, Dennis Stukenberg.

A celebration of life will be held at 4pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for the charitable contributions Terry & Margaret have supported throughout the years.
