Teri Chandler

Teri Jane Chandler, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born January 1, 1947 in Cedar Falls. She married William Chandler on February 12, 1966 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Teri was raised in Austinville, IA, returned to Cedar Falls as a teenager, and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1965. She worked at the Edgewood Salon for many years and then owned and operated Teri's Beauty Salon. In retirement, she worked part time at the College Square Hy-Vee, most notably in the garden center. Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Michelle (Lee) Burkle, of Urbandale, IA; a son, Jason (Carrie) Chandler, of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Ben and Tessa Burkle; her siblings; and many dear friends. Preceded in death by: her parents. Per Teri's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
