SYLVESTER L. "SYL" FULLER, 75, of Cedar Falls, died at home on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. He was born July 10, 1931 at Oran, Iowa, the son of Vern and Maudie (Carpenter) Fuller. Sylvester married Marjorie Sims on September 8, 1950 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a graduate of Sloan Wallace High School in Waterloo and was a plumbing engineer and pilot for 28 years. Sylvester was a member of Kiwanis, Airstream Motor Club, Living Water Church of the Nazarene, where he taught Sunday School, and played q-chord at the church and Newell Post in both Cedar Falls and Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of Cedar Falls; four sons, Joseph Fuller of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Steven (Karla) Fuller of Shell Rock, Iowa, Roger (Deb) Fuller of Parkersburg, Iowa and Tony (Tami) Fuller of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mary (Wayne) Csukker, of Waterloo; twelve foster children; a daughter-in-law, Karen Fuller; twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Donna) Fuller of Cedar Falls, and two sisters, Gladys Fitzgerald of Peoria, Illinois and Beverly (Ron) Yarrington of Buckingham, Iowa.

Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jessie Fuller, and a brother, Darwin Fuller.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Living Water Church of the Nazarene, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4 – 8:00 pm Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
