88 of New Hartford died Monday, June 20, 2005 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Kitty was born August 25, 1916 at Lindsey, Nebraska the daughter of Ernest & Mattie (Speicher) Gottschall. She married Arthur J. Juel January 26, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Kitty worked from her home as a beautician for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur of New Hartford; her daughter, Verna (Roy) Gibbs of New Hartford; seven grandchildren, Les (Wendy) Gibbs, Jeff (Denise) Gibbs, Kim (Bill) Otte, Sara (Alan) Tholl, David (Carie) Gibbs, Lisa (Matt) Verbeck, and Jennifer (Shawn) Weber, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter-in-law, Kris Harper Gibbs; 3 brothers, Harrison, Stanley and Ward Gottschall, and 1 sister, Eva Swanson.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, both in New Hartford. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
