Susan T. Spindler

Susan Strudthoff Spindler, 65, of Waterloo, died Monday, October 27, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services in Waterloo. Susan was born November 30, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Stanley & Lorraine (Reinicke) Strudthoff. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. Survivors include her sons, Jesse Spindler of Carroll, Iowa and Kevin Spindler of Chico, California; her mother, Lorraine Strudthoff, of Cedar Falls; her brother, Jon (Tammy) Strudthoff, of Victor, Iowa; and two sisters, Sandra Strudthoff-McKee, of Bloomington, Minnesota and Jean (Eugene Stevens) Strudthoff, of Redding, California. Susan was preceded in death by her father. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
