SUSAN E. HOEPPNER,
87, of 4048 Mark Road, Waterloo, Iowa and formerly of Cedar Falls and Cherokee, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at her home of heart failure. She was born March 1, 1917 in Cherokee, Iowa the daughter of William & Helen Leona Burch. She married Edward Hoeppner May 29, 1937 in South Dakota. He preceded her in death November 15, 1991. Susan worked for the Black Hawk Hotel in Cedar Falls for several years.
Survivors include five sons, Roger, Jerry (Josephine) and Tim (Tara), all of Waterloo, Ronnie of Minnesota, Tom (Karen) of New Hartford; two daughters, Patty Hoeppner of Waterloo and Dorothy (Glenn) Goodwin of Ottumwa; 30 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sons, Jim and Dick Hoeppner; two brothers, Robert and William Burch; and one sister, Viola May Burch Miles.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
