Steven Gregory Vognsen

Steven Gregory Vognsen, 77, Cedar Falls, died Sunday, December 15, 2024 under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

Steven was born September 8, 1947 in Cedar Falls to the late Chris and Eleanor (Cary) Vognsen.  Following his graduation from Cedar Falls High School he honorably served in the US Army from 1967-69 in Vietnam.  Steven married the love of his life, JoAnn Eiklenborg, on March 12, 1971 in Aplington.  The couple was blessed with two daughters: Stephanie and Jodi.  Steven worked in construction for Lockard and later Cardinal Construction, retiring in 2015.  Steven and JoAnn celebrated 52 loving years together before JoAnn's death on May 22, 2023.

Steven is survived by his beloved daughters, Stephanie (Phil) Gonnerman and Jodi (Dave) Fisher both of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Madison Gonnerman, Drew Fisher, Megan Gonnerman, Jacob Fisher and Carter Fisher; brothers, Scott Vognsen of Parkersburg and Bill (Linda) Vognsen of Cedar Falls; and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 PM on Friday December 20th, 2024 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a private graveside service at a later date.
