Steve Fitkin

Steve Fitkin, 59, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at his home following a battle with brain cancer. He was born October 2, 1956 in Cedar Falls, the son of Wayne & Maxine (Lehmkuhl) Fitkin. Steve married Joyce Brown September 11, 1981 in Cedar Falls. He was a dairy farmer most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Cedar Falls; his son, Brad (Stephanie) Brown, of Cedar Falls; two granddaughters, Ashley and Terri Brown; his parents, Wayne & Maxine Fitkin of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Jim (Deb) Fitkin of Cedar Falls and David (Cindy) Fitkin of Anamosa; and his sister, Susie (Joe) Cook of Cedar Falls.

Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacki Lynn Brown and his grandparents.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Washington Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .

Steve loved his family, farming, nature, hunting and fishing and was an avid collector.
