Stacy Lee McFarlane

Stacy Lee McFarlane, 51, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026 following a lengthy illness.

Stacy was born February 27, 1975 in Iowa City to Montel “Monty” and Diane (Loy) McFarlane. He grew up in Cedar Falls attending Cedar Falls High School. Stacy married Dawn Brown in 2002 and they later divorced. He married Andrea Schaefer on June 26, 2010 in Cedar Falls.

Stacy was a die-hard Iowa Hawkeyes fan and loved watching the New York Rangers and Chicago Cubs. He loved music, especially the Grateful Dead, and loved playing softball in his younger years. Stacy’s other great passion was collecting sports cards and going to the card shop. His greatest pride was his four children and two granddaughters.

Stacy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Andrea; children, Jarrett (Sierra) McFarlane of La Porte City, Madden McFarlane of Ames, and Avery McFarlane of Cedar Falls; 2 granddaughters; parents, Monty and Diane McFarlane; brother, Blu McFarlane; 3 nieces; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Carver McFarlane and paternal grandparents, Gerald and Doris McFarlane.

The Celebration of Stacy’s life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
