Stacey A. Winter, 63 years of age, passed away on October 27,2024, at the Martin Center of the Western Home Communities.
Stacey was born on December 19, 1960 in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Floyd G. and Sheryll K. Winter.
She was the second of three children: her older sister, Kris Klinehart and brother-in law, Mark provided so much help and guidance to Stacey and she enjoyed her nephews, Michael and Matthew Klinehart and their families. Stacey's younger brother, Mark Winter, preceded her in death. Stacey received her education in the Vinton Early Elementary Schools and River Hills Schools in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Stacey was fortunate to receive quality care from many sources in the Cedar Valley Community. Exceptional Services and North Star Communities provided personal growth activities after great service by faculty and staff at Vinton Elementary and River Hills Schools. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls and gained many friends and supporters from the Church and Special Needs Sunday School Staff. The Martin Health Center staff provided Stacey with daily loving care in her final years.
Stacey also received services from several volunteer individuals and groups throughout her lifetime. Stacey had a keen memory and loved music, especially the radio stations her mother, Sherry, tuned into while they were traveling to various locations. She could name the artists during the first notes of their records. She also enjoyed making friends and had a beautiful smile and personality.
She had a special place in her heart for the scores of people she connected with during her lifetime. She exhibited a "bright light" as she lived on this earth.
Memorials are suggested to Exceptional Persons, North Star, Cedar Valley Hospice, or the Martin Center of the Western Home Communities. They all were "heroes" to Stacey and we, as a Family, have been blessed to live in this community.
The funeral service for Stacey will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service at church on Thursday. Stacey will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
