Shirley N Williams

Shirley N Williams, 77, of Waterloo, died Thursday, August 19, 2010, at  Cedar Valley Hospice Home  in Waterloo. She was born June 18, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of David E. and Gertrude (Campbell) Reese.  Shirley graduated form East High School in Des Moines in 1951. She married Roger C. Williams on December 5, 1952 in Des Moines. Shirley worked for the DOT in the drivers license department, retiring in 1982. While living in Ottumwa, Shirley was active in the Ottumwa Regional Hospital Auxiliary, where she also served as  president. She also served on the hospital board.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Williams, of Waterloo; two daughters, Kathy (Craig) Goehrig, of Waterloo and Marna (Tom) Onnen, of Valencia, California; five grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Deimerly, Kacey (Joel) Ball, Melissa (Ryan) Chaddick, and Michael and Melanie Onnen; two great grandchildren Matthew and Nathan Deimerly, and one brother, Ernie Reese, of Pella, Iowa .

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, David Reese and one sister Jeanette Piagentini

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4—7 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.
