Shirley Salmons

Shirley Ann Salmons, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born September 8, 1941 in Cedar Falls the daughter of Alfred "Bill" and Hazel (Axmear) Hansen, Shirley married Darrel Salmons September 12, 1959 at Nazareth Lutheran Church. She graduated from Price Lab School in 1959. Shirley was a receptionist for Covenant Clinic for 13 years, retiring in 2007.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Salmons, of Cedar Falls; three sons, Dean (Lisa) Salmons, of Cedar Falls, Scott Salmons, of Ozark Missouri and Eric Salmons, of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and one brother, Fred (Julyn) Hansen, of Iowa Falls, Iowa.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Beverly Martin and one grand daughter.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Nazareth Lutheran church. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
