Shirley Burbridge

Shirley A. Burbridge, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.  Shirley was born July 14, 1935 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Leonard & Iva Cozette (Law) Miller.  She married Jack Burbridge and they later divorced.  Shirley graduated from Cedar Falls High School and attended Hawkeye Community College.  She was a case worker for Job Service of Iowa for 28 years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include her son, Kent (Barb) Burbridge; her daughter, Corlene (Mark) Collum, all of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Jared Wirth, Haley Burbridge, Drew Suggs, Briggs Collum and Trevor Burbridge; two brothers, Leonard Miller of Parkersburg, and Douglas Miller of Waterloo; and two sisters, Delores Leitner of Cheney, Washington and Alice (Kenneth) French of Waterloo.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Miller and Raymond Miller; and two sisters, Margaret Cross and Aleda Hart.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service time at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
