Shirley J. Bradford

Shirley J. Bradford, 69, of Dike, Iowa, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She was born July 11, 1949 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Elso and Lois (Smith) Doddema. Shirley was a 1967 graduate of Dike High School and worked at John Deere for 30+ years as a supply management specialist.

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Kurt) Walters, of Dike; One grandson, Cole Hoing, of Dike; step grandchildren, Kreg, Kasey, Stephen, and Stacia Walters; several nieces and nephews and step grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Griffiths, of Brooklyn, Carol Crouse, of Des Moines and Patty (Bob) Biersner, of Dike and one adopted sister #5, Diane (Jerry) Headington, of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one step grandson, Kris Walters.

Celebration of Life: 4:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Dike Community Center, with a service at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the family. The Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls is assisting the family.
