Shirley M. Andorf, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born January 31, 1931 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Springer) Caruth. Shirley married Lewis Warren on June 10, 1950 in Charles City. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1976. She married Robert Andorf on September 5, 1981 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. Robert died February 21, 2007. Shirley graduated from Charles City High School and worked for many years for both the Cedar Falls School District and the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1991. Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Doug) Dvorak of Overland Park, Kansas, Nancy (George) Meyer of Apollo Beach, Florida and Theresa (Rick) Geving of Overland Park, Kansas, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Irene Kepple, of Charles City. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands, three brothers, Cecil, Harold and Bill Caruth, and four sisters, Roseann Caruth, Marion Jeanetti, Ruby Canneli and Alice Grady. Services will be 10:30 am Friday, December 7, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 57:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 5:00 pm Rosary and a 7:00 pm Vigil Service will be conducted. Visitation also one hour before service at the church.
