Survivors include his parents, Robert and Joan Babcock, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Shane Babcock of Cedar Falls and Shay Babcock of Waterloo; a daughter, Shannon (Gene) Habinck, of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Esther Cook, of Cedar Falls; a brother, Kerry Babcock, of Cedar Falls, and three sisters, Tammy Holly of Rogers, Arkansas, Sheilah (Robin) Nunnally of Cedar Falls, and Tara (Rex) Meyer of Waterloo.

Shawn was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Babcock; a brother, Kevin Babcock; paternal grandparents, Dick and Mary Babcock, and maternal grandfather, Clyde Cook.

Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Memorials may be directed to family.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
